The Cisco PPWR-DCARD-16ESW is an inline power daughter card designed to provide Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities to a 16-port EtherSwitch Network Module. By installing this daughter card, the EtherSwitch module can supply electrical power to connected devices, such as IP phones, wireless access points, and other PoE-enabled network devices, over standard Ethernet cables.
This integration simplifies network installations by eliminating the need for separate power supplies for each device, reducing cabling complexity and associated costs
